How to Identify and Match Replacement Breakers
Identify Your Panel Type
Check the panel label: Open your breaker panel door and look for the manufacturer name and model number on the label inside. Common obsolete panels include Pushmatic, Federal Pacific (Stab-Lok), Zinsco, and Challenger.
Note the breaker style: Breakers vary by how they mount — bolt-on, plug-in, or push-in. Connecticut Electric makes replacements for each style.
Record the amperage: Each breaker is rated for a specific amperage (15A, 20A, 30A, etc.). The replacement must match exactly.
Matching the Right Breaker
UBIP Series: Direct replacements for Pushmatic panels. Available in single and double pole, 15A through 60A.
