How to Choose the Right Grout
Sanded vs. Non-Sanded Grout
Sanded Grout: Use for joints 1/8" to 1/2" wide. The sand filler prevents shrinking and cracking in wider joints. Best for floor tile, quarry tile, and stone.
Non-Sanded Grout: Use for joints less than 1/8" wide. Smoother finish ideal for polished marble, glass tile, and vertical wall tile where scratching is a concern.
