What size Ettore squeegee should I use for my windows?

For standard residential windows, a 12-inch to 14-inch squeegee works best. For larger picture windows and sliding glass doors, step up to an 18-inch channel. Professional window cleaners typically use 18-inch to 22-inch squeegees for commercial storefronts. Our staff at Family Hardware can help you match the right squeegee to your window sizes.

How often should I replace Ettore squeegee rubber?

Replace your squeegee rubber when you notice persistent streaking even with proper technique. For professional daily use, rubber may need replacing every few weeks. For homeowners cleaning monthly, rubber can last 6-12 months. Ettore replacement rubber slides right into the existing channel for an easy swap. Visit Family Hardware for the right replacement size.

What Sets Ettore Apart

Six innovations that have made Ettore the professional's choice for cleaning tools since Ettore Steccone invented the modern squeegee.

Original Squeegee Design

Invented 1936

Ettore Steccone invented the modern squeegee in 1936. The original brass channel design remains the gold standard for professional window cleaning worldwide.

Master Brass Channel

Corrosion-resistant

Precision-formed solid brass channels resist corrosion and maintain their shape through years of daily professional use. The industry benchmark for durability.

Professional-Grade Rubber

Streak-free wipe

Ettore squeegee rubber is formulated for a clean, streak-free wipe every pass. Resists hardening and cracking, delivering consistent performance in heat and cold.

Extension Pole System

Safe high reach

Lightweight telescoping poles with secure twist-lock connections reach high windows and ceilings safely from the ground. Compatible with multiple Ettore tool heads.

Microfiber Technology

Superior absorption

High-density microfiber pads and washer sleeves trap dirt and absorb water more effectively than cotton, delivering a superior clean with less solution.

Ergonomic Handle Design
