How to Choose the Right Water Heater
Tank vs. Tankless
Tank Water Heaters: Store and preheat 30-50 gallons of water for immediate use. Best for homes with moderate, predictable hot water demand. Lower upfront cost.
Tankless Water Heaters: Heat water on demand as it flows through the unit. Ideal for larger households or homes where multiple fixtures run simultaneously. Higher efficiency, smaller footprint.
Sizing Your Water Heater
1-2 People: 30-gallon tank or small tankless unit typically meets daily needs.
3-4 People: 40-50 gallon tank or mid-range tankless system for consistent hot water.
5+ People: 50+ gallon tank, high-capacity tankless, or hybrid heat pump for heavy demand households.
