How to Choose the Right Hitch Components
Hitch Balls & Ball Mounts
Hitch Ball Sizing: Match your hitch ball diameter (1-7/8", 2", or 2-5/16") to your trailer coupler. The wrong size creates a dangerous connection.
Ball Mount Drop/Rise: Measure the difference between your receiver height and coupler height. TowSmart adjustable mounts handle up to 6" of drop or rise for level towing.
Weight Rating: Always choose a hitch ball and mount rated above your trailer's Gross Trailer Weight (GTW). Class ratings range from Class I (2,000 lb) to Class V (17,000 lb).
