How to choose kamado & charcoal grills
Which size?
The Large is the classic family size (18.25" grid, feeds 6-8); the XL cooks two turkeys or 24 burgers; the Medium and MiniMax suit small patios and tailgating; the 2XL is for restaurants and big families. Every size cooks the same way — the difference is capacity. Our size guide compares all seven side by side.
What comes in a package?
Our packages bundle the cooker with a nest or table, side shelves, the convEGGtor for indirect cooking, an ash tool, grid gripper and lump charcoal — everything you need to cook the first night, at a package price.
Charcoal vs. gas
A kamado holds temperature for 18+ hours on one load of lump charcoal, runs from 200°F smoking to 750°F pizza, and adds wood-fire flavor no gas grill matches. If you want instant on/off convenience, look at our gas grills; many customers own both.

Yes — free white-glove delivery, assembly and a first-cook walkthrough on packages across Lee, Collier and Charlotte counties: Cape Coral, Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel, Estero, Bonita Springs, Lehigh Acres, Naples, Marco Island, Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte and Englewood. Outside the area we ship the cooker and accessories by freight.
What is the Big Green Egg warranty?
Limited lifetime warranty on the ceramic components for the original owner, 5 years on metal components, and 1 year on gaskets and thermometers, when purchased from an authorized dealer like Family Hardware.
